Aquablation Therapy: Surgical Treatment For BPH

Aquablation utilizes high-tech robotic technology to address one of the most common problems a man experiences as he gets older, BPH (prostatic enlargement).

It’s a minimally invasive treatment that uses the power of water delivered with robotic precision to provide long-lasting BPH relief with low rates of irreversible complications.

This is a resective procedure, meaning that the prostate tissue causing symptoms is removed. No incision is made, as the prostate is reached through the urethra.

Dr. Rockove will identify important anatomy that maintains sexual function and continence to create a personalized treatment. Below is a brief video, outlining how Dr. Rockove will mark the locations for treatment, in real time.

Once Dr. Rockove creates the plan, a robotically-controlled, heat-free waterjet removes the prostate tissue. This robotic technology ensures the prostate tissue is removed precisely, consistently, and predictably. Below is simulation of the process.
